FCIC to use supoena power & refer findings to Justice Department
The chairman of the commission investigating the 2008 financial crisis said Tuesday those who choose not to comply with the commission’s inquiries will be subpoenaed.
And:
Along with subpoena power, the commission has the authority to refer findings of criminal wrong-doing to the U.S. Justice Department.
And:
The 9/11 Commission “conducted 1,200 interviews and reviewed 2.5 million pages of documents, and we intend to be as thorough,” he said.
